Health and Safety
With over twenty-five years in business and many more in the trade prior to that, Colin Harkness understands that having great health and safety practices is just part of having a great company.
A documented health and safety protocol is required by law and sets out the Health and Safety at Work (2015) Act and the Health and Safety at Work (2016) Regulations. This ensures the staff’s commitment to working towards creating a risk-free working environment for clients and contractors.
Issues such as: quality control, injury reporting, hazard identification, plant and product safety, staff training, H & S system management and procedures are all integral to Harkness Electrical’s action plan.
We also work closely with WorkSafe NZ, the Crown agency whose focus is on helping businesses implement health and safety standards at work.
Our team are aware of and dedicated to fulfilling the terms of our company health and safety policy every workday and with every job we attend.
Our policy is reviewed annually, and staff updated regularly during ongoing training sessions. Our adherence to this electrical industry practice is an additional guarantee to you of our safe workplace and environment tenet.
Our promise to keep everyone safe and healthy is hand on heart!
